that in Sudan, children believe food comes from the skies rather than from the Earth. Instead of crops grown by their parents, they have grown up with supplies dropped from aeroplanes.

that sometimes you get someone's phonenumber before you even get a chance to ask for it. Sometimes you feel almost ready to say yes even though you were all intent on saying no.

that if I spent any more time in school right now, it feels as if I'd be living there. But still, in between two exams, a group assignment and an oral presentation, I am happy.
